Police Arrests PDP Governorship Aspirant

Rivers State’s governorship aspirant, Farah Dagogo has been arrested by the police following Governor Wike’s order.

His arrest occurred at the PDP zonal secretariat.

Governor Nyesom Wike in a statement to his deputy, Kelvin Ebiri, on Wednesday called for the arrest of Mr Dagogo.

Mr Wike accused Mr Dagogo of causing a rift in the party’s screening process for candidates for the National Assembly and for those who wanted to enter the Legislature.

Mr Dagogo has since denied the allegations.

Armed security personnel attacked Mr Dagogo shortly after arriving at the PDP checkpoint on Thursday evening.

The workers took him out of the meeting place and put him in a waiting van marked ‘Operation C4i-027’.

The security van suddenly turned around, and a group of men in uniform jumped back and the driver backed away.
