The chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo, Ade Adetimehin, has asked Presidential aspirant Rotimi Amaechi, to use his office to execute the Araromi Seaport project.
Mr Adetimehin stated this on Monday in Akure when the minister visited to ask for the support of Ondo APC delegates for his presidential bid.
He said the port would create jobs in Nigeria.
Mr Adetimehin has asked Mr Amaechi to negotiate with Governor Rotimi Akeredolu as party leader in Ondo over his bid for the presidency.
The APC chairperson described Mr Amaechi as a man of words who has the potential to become the president of Nigeria.
Mr Amaechi described himself as a man with extensive management experience.
He said he would be the president of everyone and represent the interests of all Nigerians if he is elected as a candidate for the presidency and wins the presidential election, also ensuring the safety of lives and properties.
The minister promised that the construction of the district railway was ready, adding that the work would begin in 2023.
Mr Amaechi called on party delegates to support him, assuring him that he would complete his work on the port and railway line if elected president.
