With President Muhammadu Buhari ending two tenures, former Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Victor Umeh, has stressed that it will be unfair if the next President of Nigeria do not emerge from the South-east.
Umeh made the remarks in an interview with Channels Television’s Politics.
There has been a demand for southern governors and that the presidency be divided into regions.
It has been reported that the governors of the Southern Provinces have unanimously agreed that their region should produce the next President.
Specifically, the majority of easterners want the South East region to produce a successor to President Buhari by 2023.
