RMAFC Chairman, Mbam Picks Ebonyi Governorship Nomination Form

Chief Elias Mbam, Chairman of the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission, (RMAFC), has officially purchased his nominations and expression of interest forms.

This means he is to compete with the governor of Ebonyi State under the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Reports reveal that Mbam is the first aspiring governor to take the APC nomination form, worth N50 million.

Mbam, who spoke to stakeholders and supporters shortly after purchasing the form, said he had made a plan to lift the state out of poverty.

He said that the 2019 National Bureau of Statistics (NBC) poverty index of states that scored Ebonyi 87.02 per cent with poor citizens revealed a startling reality of the state’s poverty level, and would work to ensure that this is reversed between two to four years of his administration as governor.

“To all supporters, APC faithful and Ebonyians in general, we wish to inform you that it is official.

“Today, we purchased the nomination form to run for governor of Ebonyi State. This past week has been a wonderful one for us – filled with heartwarming news, everywhere, even though to many bystanders in Ebonyi, were concerned about what was going on, there seemed to be darkness, but for us, we knew that everything was working for good.

“We assure Ebonyi people, especially those who were thrown into despondency with the recent event of past days, to put a smile on their faces, for the Egyptians we see today, we shall see no more!” he stated.
