No Regret Fixing Presidential Nomination Forms At N100m – APC Chairman

All Progressive Congress National Chairman Abdullahi Adamu said the party had no regrets about filing N100 million presidential nomination forms.

He noted that it was a deliberate attempt to discourage the main opposition candidates from joining the party to cause confusion.

Adamu, who brought the APC’s gubernatorial flagbearer to the forthcoming Ekiti elections, Mr Abiodun Abayomi Oyebanji to meet with President Muhammadu Buhari, noted that a visit was also made to raise enough money to run the election.

He arrived the Presidential villa in Abuja in the company of the Chairman of the Nigerian Rule of Forum and Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi; Governor of Kebbi Province, Atiku Bagudu; and APC National Secretary, Iliola Omisore.

Recall that since the ruling party submitted its nomination forms to N100 million, there have been public outcry and differing views on the decision.

While some say it will undermine the democratic process, as it will discourage sincere individuals who may make the necessary changes to enter the competition, others see it as an acceptable development.
