Rivers state governorship aspirant, Farah Dagogo, who was arrested on Wike’s order has reportedly been hospitalised.
He was arrested by the police on Thursday, while under investigation at the PDP’s south and south office in Port Harcourt.
Journalists, however, were barred by fully armed security forces from writing about and witnessing the arrest.
Wike had accused Dagogo of plotting to assassinate the PDP secretary in Port Harcourt.
In a statement to his news correspondent, Ibrahim Lawal, Dagogo complained of stomach and chest problems before he was taken to hospital by police for treatment.
The statement on Wednesday reads, “Hon. Doctor Farah Dagogo has been taken to the hospital by the Police. He complained of stomach and chest complications. He is receiving treatment now. Update will be given as the situation goes on.”
