Grammy-winning singer, Damini Ogulu a.k.a Burna Boy, says Nigerians only lie when they try to cheat on someone.
The singer made the remarks while appearing as a guest on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah in New York, USA.
Trevor, who praised the ‘Odogwu’ artist for being the first African to sell Madison Square Garden, acknowledged and spoke frankly during the interview, noting that the most successful Nigerians are never afraid.
In his own case, Burna Boy told Trevor that the only situation in which Nigerians lie to people is that the intent is to defraud them.
Trevor, including the audience, burst out laughing at Burna Boy’s assertion.
