Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti state has spoken on his 2023 presidential bid, noting he is not yet an aspirant.
An official of the All Progressives Congress (APC) said he was yet to announce it because negotiations were still ongoing.
The Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF) spoke after a visit to Ondo State on Thursday.
Fayemi contacted Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, Chairman of the Southwest Rulers Forum.
He also met Olowo of Owo, Oba Gbadegesin Ogunoye III; iDeji Of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi; the Osemawe of Ondo, Oba Victor Ademefun Kiladejo, Afenifere leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti.
Fayemi noted that leadership is service, sacrifice and duty, “not an ambition”.
“I am not yet an aspirant. My next political move will be based on the outcome of the consultations that I am currently conducting with stakeholders across the country.
“May the Lord continue to be my guiding light”, the Ekiti helmsman added.
