Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has scheduled a meeting in his hometown, Ogun, with stakeholders about his 2023 presidential bid.
Osinbajo arrived in Sagamu, where he met Akarigbo and Remo’s supreme ruler, Oba Babatunde Ajayi, among the other Obas in Remoland.
Following this, the Deputy President will head to Alake’s palace with the Governor of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, in Abeokuta.
At the presidential residence in Ibara, Osinbajo will hold talks with Governor Dapo Abiodun and other leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He is expected to end his negotiations at the palace of Olu of Ilaro with the Great Governor of Yewa, Oba Kehinde Olugbenlo, after which he will leave Ogun for Lagos.
Deputy President Osinbajo is a native of Ikenne, in the Ikenne Local Government Area of Ogun, where he is expected to vote in 2023.
