The Governor of Jigawa state, Muhammad Badaru Abubakar has officially joined the race for 2023 presidency under the APC.
The governor has also purchased the APC nomination form.
Governor Badaru, during an APC stakeholder meeting held at Government House Dutse on Tuesday evening, was quoted as saying, “I will join the Presidential race since everyone knows I’m a highly qualified person to do the job”.
The governor also reportedly told the rally that he had been pressured by his colleagues to run for president.
His media assistant, Auwalu Sankara, said his principal sought the blessings of President Muhammadu Buhari before buying the form.
Governor Badaru is now almost 12th in the APC seeking to replace Buhari in 2023.
