The People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Zamfara State chapter has suspended its chairman, Bala Mande, for alleged opposition to the party.
This was contained in a press statement signed and released to the media in Gusau by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Abba Bello.
The statement said Mande was conducting party affairs without the intervention of the State Working Committee, and party leaders.
“This is to inform the general public, and supporters of our great party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), that the State Chairman of our party, Colonel Bala Mande (rtd) has been suspended for anti-party activities”.
“This becomes necessary owing to the fact that the Chairman has been conducting the affairs of the party without the involvement of the State Working Committee, and the leader of the party which is a flagrant violation of the constitution of our party”.
“The suspension has become necessary to forestall the abuse of power and offending the constitution of the party”.
“The suspension is for a period of one month to allow the Working Committee constitute a panel of inquiry into the allegations”
