Vice president Yemi Osinbajo has revealed that he will be contesting for the office of the president in the 2023 general elections.
It had been widely rumoured for months that the Vice President was harbouring ambitions to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari.
During his declaration speech, he made many promises to Nigerians, which he said he would fulfil if allowed to lead the country.
Osinbajo added that his decision to join the presidential race is to contribute his quota to the development of the country.
Following the development, some Nigerians on Twitter slammed the Vice President, addressing him a puppet in the Muhammadu Buhari-led administration.
I don’t know whether to laugh or cuss out, cos the ironic part of this clip is how he highlighted almost all the disasters in the country to somehow use as a campaign manifesto like his tenure aren’t the ones behind it. Afflictions shall never rise a second time.

You don’t have my vote then. Although I love your personality but you failed with @MBuhari and you now praise his failure that’s off for me even if you win your party ticket. #OsinbajoDeclares https://t.co/smi0SMo1lV

I think we should trend #EndSARS today to honor the lives lost during the #lekkimassacre. Sir your silence was pretty much the loudest in this administration. #OsinbajoDeclares pic.twitter.com/87YDJc3E3E

A Presidential aspirant calling President Buhari a true Nigerian patriot and a man of integrity is enough red flag for him to lose. #OsinbajoDeclares
