Prominent Nigerian comedian, Bovi Ugboma revealed that he was barred from entering the United States.
Commenting on the circumstances surrounding the border, the comedian revealed that the ban followed when he clashed with a visa issuer and was written off.
He said this while responding to questions from fans after catching part of the questions and answers on his Instagram story.
When asked by a fan to come to Massachusetts to sing, the father of three responded:
“I’m banned in the USA.”
His reply to another fan who asked him if he intended to leave the country reads: “I am a citizen of the world. Except for Yankee where I’m banned.”
Giving more details on the incident, he said, “ Ill luck. Met a charity-like visa-issuing officer. Egos clashed. I was labelled. I go dey carry shoulder.”
The comedian had revealed in February 2022 that he had almost been accused of stealing from a London hotel.
In his Question and Answer book, the comedian also talks about the beef between him and his comedian colleague, Ayo Makun, better known as AY.
When asked by fans why he and AY did not play in each other’s show, the comedian referred to American comedians.
