A three-storey building collapsed at 32 Ibadan Street, Ebute Metta, Lagos.
At the time of the report, many people living in the building were still trapped as residents made efforts to rescue them.
However, a report stated that there were two survivors receiving first aid.
Nigerian police and the Lagos State Fire Service also arrived at the scene.
It was reported that the building, located on the N24, on Ibadan Road, had been marked for demolition by the Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA).
Residents of the area confirmed to Pulse that the building was in a state of disrepair before it collapsed and insiders were warned to evacuate.
