Four out of the six PDP Governorship aspirants in Lagos State have pulled out of the race.
The four aspirants who withdrew are former Lagos PDP chairman, Adedeji Doherty; the party’s governorship candidate in 2011, Ade Dosunmi; Gbadebo Rhodes Vivour; and Jimi Kamal.
Emmanuel Ogidi, the chairman of the electoral committee, made the announcement while briefing journalists before the governorship primary which was yet to commence at the time of filing this report.
The reason for their withdrawal was however not mentioned by the electoral committee chairman.
With the withdrawal of the four aspirants, two other aspirants–Olajide Adeniran aka Jandor and David Kolawole Vaughan aka Dakova– are left in the race.
