The general director of Yahaya Bello’s campaign party, Hafsat Abiola-Costello, has stated that no one has been put in a better position to run for president of 2023 than the governor of Kogi State.
Ms Abiola-Costello, who is also the daughter of the late MKO Abiola, noted on Tuesday that the governor had shown transparency, honesty and accountability.
“First the governor is an accountant, and he actually is one of the few state governors in Nigeria that the World Bank has certified his transparency in finances. I do not know any other state that the World Bank has given his ranking,” she said.
She cited reasons why Mr Bello was constantly betting on Nigeria in the upcoming 2023 presidential election.
She further explained that 30 years from June 12, Mr Bello was in the race to restore the diminished hope of Nigerians, especially the youth, women and the vulnerable.
Ms Abiola-Costello said that Bello has shown the youth that “Nigeria is for them, that they are the ones that should be in charge and young people and women in Nigeria are ready to lead.”
