Former Zamfara State Governor, Sani Yerima has announced he will run in the 2023 presidential election, under the ruling All Progressives Congress.
The former Senator who represented Zamfara West, in the National Assembly, was seen at the Presidential Villa Abuja on Friday, where he came to brief President Muhammadu Buhari on his plans.
He said if he was elected President he would focus on fighting insecurity, eradicating poverty and the ignorance that many Nigerians live by without knowing it.
The former governor, who is best known for introducing Sharia law in his province, has dismissed what he claims to be a religious extremist.
According to him, that perception of the people is one of the reasons why he can work for the ignorance of the Nigerian people and give every citizen a sense of belonging.
While disclosing his plans to the State House News correspondent, he noted that he had received the President’s approval to run for office.
He will have to choose her own forms to express her interest and nomination forms today.
