Aspiring Kogi governor, Yahaya Bello, says he will restore hope to the black race if he becomes president.
Mr Bello made the remarks on Wednesday after receiving his nomination forms and nomination forms at APC headquarters.
“That is the hope we are bringing on board to unite, to secure, and to put our country and her people on the path of progress and prosperity,” he told reporters at the party’s secretariat.
“Today I have with me my expression of interest and nomination forms to contest as the presidential flag bearer of this great party, the APC.
“Right now, what we have ahead of us is the task of canvassing and consulting all party faithful, leaders, stalwarts, members and all Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora.”
Mr Bello said he was not afraid of the big name in the race with him, adding that the “ethics” team would support him.
