Nigerian musician Osinachi Nwachukwu, noted for her popular gospel track, ‘Ekwueme’ has been confirmed dead.

Her career as a gospel singer, made her feature in some popular gospel songs like “Nara Ekele” by Pastor Paul Enenche (Dunamis, Abuja), “Ekwueme” by Prospa Ochimana, and “You no dey use me play” by Emma.

Contrary to reports claiming that the popular singer had died of throat cancer, friends of the singer have alleged that the actual cause of her untimely death was not throat cancer but domestic abuse from her husband.
According to a report, the singer had been enduring several beatings and maltreatments from her husband until he kicked her in the chest which placed her on life support for 5 days before she finally died.
Prior to her death, the wonderful singer was the lead chorister at Dunamis International Gospel Centre.
