The Rivers State High Court has adjourned the suit of Farah Dagogo, A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant to June 2, 2022.
Dagogo faces two counts of conspiracy and cultism preferred against him by the Rivers State Government.
Trial Judge, Justice Chiwendu Ngworgu gave the adjourned date after ruling on the preliminary objection on the issue of jurisdiction filed by counsel to the defendant which the court dismissed.
Justice Nworgu thereafter advised the parties to return on the next adjourned date to argue the motion for bail.
Speaking to journalists after the court proceedings, counsel to Dagogo, Cosmos Enweluzo SAN, accused the prosecution counsel of deliberately delaying the process to have his client remain at the correctional centre.
On his part, prosecution counsel Chidi Ekeh dismissed the allegations by the defence counsel, adding that they have the right to respond to the defence application.
With the adjournment of the suit, Dagogo will now miss the governorship primaries of the PDP in Rivers State which is scheduled for today.
