Aisha Buhari, the wife of the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, expresses her displeasure as she spaced herself from her husband at the podium for the handing of the party’s flag to Tinubu despite several pleas.
This happened on Wednesday after Bola Ahmed won the APC presidential ticket and emerged as the presidential candidate come 2023.
Aisha rejected every effort to make her move from her seat in the VIP section of the Eagles Square even when officials of the Presidency came to inform her she was called to the podium.
Tinubu was, however, handed the flag by President Muhammadu Buhari as Aisha’s space on the podium was left vacant.
The former Lagos State Governor scored 1,271 to defeat his closest challenger, Rotimi Amaechi, who polled 316.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, scored 235 to come third.
