Professor Yemi Osinbajo visited the Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Mahood Olalekan Balogun as a means of paying respect to hm.
Reports reveal that the visit is part of the efforts by Osinbajo to realise his presidential ambition ahead of the 2023 elections.
The Vice President was accompanied to the monarch’s residence by the Deputy Governor of the state, Rauf Olaniyan, former Senate leader, Senator Teslim Folarin and Chairman of APC in the state, Isaac Omodewu.
Others are Senators Kola Balogun, Fatai Bihari and Mr. Sina Alabi.
Osinbajo while addressing journalists at the end of the visit said he visited the monarch to pay his respects.
The VP who addressed the journalists for a few seconds said “I came here to visit the monarch.
“I am here to pay respects to the Olubadan of Ibadan land”.
