A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential aspirant, Atiku Abubakar has called for unity in the party, ahead of the presidential primaries.
The former vice president has expressed his willingness to reorganize Nigeria in order to improve the national economy and security, if elected president.
Mr Abubakar stated this during a meeting with PDP delegates on Sunday in Abia, stressing he would change the country if given the opportunity.
The presidential aspirant also explained that his manifesto focused on five key areas, including national unity, economic development, national security, education and restructuring of the nation.
“Together we can achieve all these goals if we unite as a party,” said Mr Abubakar.
Also, the PDP chair in Abia, Asiforo Okere, said the stakeholders were excited to receive the presidential aspirant.
Mr Okere noted that the contributions of the presidential aspirant to the party would be appreciated.
He prayed to God to lead Mr Abubakar the right way and grant his desire of becoming the next president of Nigeria.
