Ex-president Goodluck Jonathan has stated that the All Progressives Congress, (APC) presidential nomination form purchased by the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders ’Association was done without his consent.
The group purchased the form for Jonathan on Monday in Abuja.
But in response to a statement issued by Jonathan’s spokesman, Ikechukwu Eze, he said the former president had no contact with the northern federation that bought the form.
He appealed to Nigerians to ignore it as the act was considered an insult to him.
“We wish to categorically state that Dr. Jonathan was not aware of this bid and did not authorise it.
“We want to state that if the former President wanted to contest an election, he would make his intentions clear to the public and will not enter through the back door,” he stressed.
